My friend Kerri Jackson is an actual writer. She and some fabulous writer friends started a blog earlier this year called Southern Girl Academy. Each week someone gives a lesson on the finer points of being a woman in the modern South. It's adorable.
One of her real writer friends had to back out suddenly and she asked me to write this week. Naturally I took her up o the offer quickly - before she changed her mind.
